Travel Two specializes in the sale of two horse boxes, in particular the Renault Master/Vauxhall Movano and the Peugeot Boxer/Citroen Relay/Fiat Ducato (3.5-4.5 ton gross weight)
I started this business in 2004 but the idea came from the pleasure and relief my own Renault Master horsebox had given me since the late 1990's (no more rocking and rolling all over the road in a high mounted small horsebox with horses swinging away over the back axle, no more searching for a man to put up the ramp, no more horses dragging me up and down steep ramps )
In the 1990's these horseboxes were not well known - in fact such a rarity in the horsebox world that people would gather around my box at events to admire.
Now in 2021 the whole horsebox market has changed, most people are aware of the advantages offered by these boxes and on the second hand market demand exceeds supply which makes selling easy and buying difficult! The real downside, however, is where there is demand you will always have unscrupulous people cashing in on this. The proliferation of scams is one example but with common sense these can usually be avoided. Perhaps more worrying is the new build market (which will of course hit the second hand market) where horseboxes are being built by people who don't know what a horse is let alone the dangers of horse travel, and so I am seeing more and more horseboxes that are not fit for their purpose. Needless to say I don't buy these but because demand exceeds supply these still sell.
