On a standard build there are a number of safety features which include the following :
Second exit by means of an opening partition or detachable breast bar
Wide back door
Horse area closed off by means of two full height doors
Detachable bridge to stop any "eager beaver" from dropping a leg over the breast bar.
Reinforcement in the critical places
Choice of chequer plate or fibreglass tanked marine ply above the steel base floor
Load guide gates to the ramp to prevent loading/unloading mishaps
Adjustable partition with telescopic arm allowing a number of settings (also useful to allow inside tacking up on rainy days!)
Lots of windows plus two roof vents keep the box light, airy and inviting to give the most nervous traveler confidence .
All donor vehicles are checked methodically , any mechanical issues rectified, serviced and given a new MOT (without advisories!) before sale
Three month mechanical warranty and one year on the body .
VAUXHALL MOVANO 3.5 ton gross Coachbuilt on a long wheel base 55 reg 135,000 miles 12 months MOT with 3 minor advisories Super strong build with metal frame and aluminium clad coachbuilt body, with white faced grp panelled interior. Wide 'emergency exit' grooms doors, fully removable breast bar, makes a very simple but safe internal layout. Central partition has adjustable width. The internal design of this box makes it ideal for multi functional transport or indeed as a trade display vehicle at events for a business such as a tack shop . SOLD I have one of my own builds for sale on behalf of a customer whose circumstances have changed . It was built in 2018 on a 2012 Citroen Relay and now has circa 114,000 on the clock . It has kept very well as you might expect from a Travel Two build and the customer has kept it well maintained having it serviced every year . A MUCH LOVED BOX NOW READY TO BE VIEWED WITH ME IN BRISTOL ( 12th October 2024) I am winding down on the sale of secondhand boxes and concentrating on my new builds however I am making an exception for this one which belongs to a customer who has just bought a new build from me . When I was dealing in secondhand boxes I would literally race across the country to buy one of these builds . This box was built by TRU LEISURE in 2008 and bought by me in 2010. Since then it has had two owners . These were very much "high end " builds and with the judicious use of aluminium (as opposed to cutting down on weight in critical places ) they are one of the very few well built boxes which achieve a genuine payload of 1.2 ton . 2003 plate Converted in 2008 Now 105k miles driving superbly with a cab in great condition which is consistent with the whole history of this box . The engineering of these builds is second to none and puts many contemporary builds to shame . ANOTHER RACEMASTER ! AND AT THE RISK OF REPEATING MYSELF "AD NAUSEAM" I CAN NOT STRESS ENOUGH THE STRENGTH AND LONGEVITY OF THE RACEMASTER BUILD . This is one I sold the current owners some six years ago Built on a 53 plate Movano it has incredibly low and genuine mileage (circa 62k) It also benefits from the extras my husband added for the previous sale . These include the jump barrier , bite board , partition padding and hook back when loading . It has benefited from a respray since I sold it previously and has new board and matting on the ramp .
