Marlborough Hunter in really lovely condition built on a Renault Master '06 chassis very low mileage (circa 64,000).

These are still one of the best quality builds available.

This one is fitted with a dual purpose camera in addition to the viewing window set in all steel bulk head, three opening windows in horse area plus two roof vents so light and airy. Three quarter height partition, high breast partition with jockey door through to the groom's area which has a full height tack locker and upholstered seating.

Second hand Chapman build in nearly new condition on a low mileage (circa 75,000 ) Vauxhall Movano '05 chassis.

This is a standard Chapman build with all the safety features associated with this name, two large aluminium doors to close off the horse area, a breast partition that comes apart and a wide back door offering a genuine emergency exit.Very horse and person friendly with barn doors above the ramp, load guide gates to stop the horse in the ramp side stall stepping on the ramp when it is being opened or closed,very light and airy with lots of windows as well as two roof vents. Like all Chapmans this box has steel re enforcement in the bulk head and side wall. A lovely design built with the safety of the horses in mind and the rare chance to buy one at less than the new build price.

Tru Leisure on a '05 chassis circa 80,000 miles.

Large horse dimensions , really well engineered box built for longevity with aluminium planked floor, aluminium partition and ramp, making it very user friendly.(I would dearly like to send some "coach builders" on apprenticeship schemes to this firm!).

Tu Leisure have always been selective on their donor vehicles favouring low mileages and service history and this one has a comprehensive service record.

This is one for someone who knows exactly what to look for when assessing both the chassis and the build quality of a horsebox.

Vauxhall Movano LWB 2002 chassis circa 85,000 miles box built in 2012.

This horsebox is fairly basic so offers a payload of 1.2 ton but has really large horse dimensions - headroom of 8' and 7'2" chest to tail.

It is fitted with a dual purpose camera, has a large luton with doors for storage, the seats lift up offering more storage space, the horse area is light and inviting and has new matting on the walls'.

The floor has chequer plate through out under rubber matting.

It drives without fault and will be sold with a new MOT. Price £11,500.

Chaigley built on an '05 Movano (box built in 2011)circa 97,000 miles.

Barn doors above the ramp,large horse dimensions, high breast partition with rolled steel top,cctv to monitor the horses, jockey door to groom's area with seating and open fronted cupboards, designed to maximise pay load. This horsebox has been well cared for and maintained with just the one owner who had it built to their own spec.

Racemaster built on a 2000 (X reg) Fiat Ducato chassis circa 98,000 miles.

A nice tidy little box built by a very reputable coach builder. Ducatos are shorter on the horse standing area although this one is a LWB and has 7'6" headroom There are no wheel arches in the horse area as this coachbuilder has been rather clever with his breast partition and allows 6'8" length in the centre 6'4" at the sides .The central partition has a telescopic arm with various settings so stall widths/angles can be adjusted so one large horse could travel in comfort or two smaller horses.

Like all Racemasters this is a very safe robust build but basic. There are saddle racks/bridle hooks/a small mirror cupboard and seating in the groom's area with jockey door through to horses. The luton has also been made into a storage cupboard.

It will be sold with a new cam belt and new MOT, service and usual warranty.

Renault Master 51 plate (Dec 2001) built by Staffordshire horseboxes in 2007 mileage circa 88k

This is a well appointed box offering large horse dimensions ( headroom of 8'), three quarter height adjustable padded partition, two roof vents, three windows in horse area, padded ceiling above horses' heads, jockey door through to groom's area with two lockers , gas hob , seating, external tack locker.

I sold this box two years ago and have bought it back as customer buying a 7.5 ton, it has been well maintained throughout it's life, paint work no longer pristine but perfectly respectable!

Drives well and will be sold with a new MOT and usual warranty.

Racemaster built in 2008 on a 2003 chassis. As a late MK11 it has the modern 2.5 DTI engine (120bhp) same as the MK111's., It is a genuine low mileage vehicle (56,000) and was originally sold by me three years ago. 

The horse area is very tidy - well padded and has a collapsible jump barrier fitted (which could be removed if not required).

Externally the paint work is dull so it is being offered at a very good price £10,750.

This is an excellent robust build with large horse dimensions and the benefit of a jump barrier, the mileage is very low and it drives without fault. This horsebox will appeal to someone whose priority is horse safety and reliability over attractive paint work!

Chapman horsebox on a '08 chassis built in 2013, mileage circa 108,000 service history.

A top quality build on a low mileage '05 chassis built as a horsebox from new.

Opening breast partition, wide back door, barn doors above the low easy ramp, plenty of padding, ventilation and light so every thing designed for horse safety and comfort.This is the closest to a Theault in build and design that I have ever seen but without the Theault price tag! 

Barlow Duo on a '05 chassis with 3 litre (140bhp) engine and six speed box circa 118,000 miles.

This box has been very well maintained, offers large horse dimensions, a high breast partition with rolled steel top, roomy external tack locker plus internal locker.

Renault Master on a '07 chassis built in 2012 with very low mileage (53,000).

Stunning looking horsebox with a really horse/user friendly design. These are genuine second exit builds with a groom's area that can be closed off from the horses. This one has barn doors above the ramp and load guide gates for safe loading, it is very light inside and inviting for the most nervous traveller/reluctant loader.

A lovely little Dereham build on a 2001 Renault Master chassis 2.8 turbo diesel engine circa 105,000 miles. This box was sold by me two years ago to it's current owner who is now giving up horses. It is a typical Dereham build with three quarter height adjustable partition between the horses, lots of padding in the horse area, breast partition with rolled steel top with anti weave bars fitted, a number of windows plus roof vent/fan making it light and airy. Jockey doors through to a groom's area with plenty of storage and seating, cctv from cab to horses.

These were top quality build and design boxes of their day, the paint work on this one is showing it's age a little but what a lovely box to transport horses in and with an engine with enough power to pull them with ease!

A horsebox that needs no introduction - The Marlborough Hunter.

This one is built on a 2006 chassis (circa 93,000 miles) and has a high spec cab with dual purpose cctv fitted.

Vauxhall Movano 56 plate LWB platform chassis built by Chaigley (the real McCoy!) approx 2 years ago and only lightly used so in very good condition. Mileage circa 72,000 with service history.

This one has three windows to the horse area and roof vent, large horse dimensions, high breast partition with rolled steel top, jockey door through to groom's area with seating and two open fronted cupboards, one with saddle racks the other with wardrobe rail, a nice wide back door with wide back step.There is cctv so the horses can be monitored from the cab and there is an all steel bulk head between cab and horses.

This horsebox was previously sold by me and the customer has been very happy with it but is now buying a 7.5 ton. It is offered at a very competitive price as a fairly basic build.

Vauxhall Movano on a '07 chassis built by Chapman in 2012. The engine is a powerful 2.5 TDI (120bhp) with a six speed box, circa 118,000 miles, service history.

I sold this box as a new build but now the customer is buying a 7.5 ton horsebox.

It has all the features of the Chapman build including a wide back door and opening breast partition to offer an emergency exit. It also has the two full height aluminium doors to allow the horse area to be closed off from the groom's area. It is light, airy and inviting with extra windows and roof vents, nicely padded partition and load guide gates. Two external lockers plus wardrobe rail, hooks, saddle racks, seating in the groom's area.

It will be sold with the benefit of a new cam belt kit, service and warranty.

Marlborough Hunter built in 2010 on a 2006 Vauxhall Movano LWB chassis. One owner as horsebox and kept under cover so lovely condition. Full service history( mileage circa 113,000 )and will be sold with a new cam belt.

Special features include three opening windows to horse area and two roof vents, removable breast bar and partition, wide back door, fully adjustable three quarter height padded central partition with detachable bite board, jockey door to groom's area,tack locker with saddle racks and clothes rail, seating that can be converted into a bed, fold away table for picnics (!)

 Select build in 2008 on a 2004 chassis. This box has been very well maintained, in the same ownership since build and although has slightly higher mileage than those I normally sell (circa 148k) it has had a new engine in 2010 and new gearbox and clutch this year.

It has large horse dimensions (7'8" headroom 7' chest to tail) with an extra high breast partition so more suitable for the large horse than the pony. It has also been designed to maximise pay load. The floor has chequer plate over the steel base so extremely safe and strong, there is plenty of ventilation having three opening windows in the horse area plus a roof vent and fan.There is cctv in the cab to monitor the horses, storage in the luton with doors fitted and four saddle racks and seating in the groom's area with jockey door through to give access to the horses. Finally with barn doors above the ramp and the high headroom it is ideal for the more reticent loader.

Mechanically it has the powerful 120bhp engine and six speed box. It is faultless to drive and is being sold with a new MOT, tax to 31/03/2015, service and warranty.

Racemaster build on a 54 reg chassis pre owned by me. This is a genuine very low mileage box (50k's) being built in 2009 @ 44,000 miles and only coming back to me as loan horse been returned.

Racemasters are probably the most robust builds being steel framed through out but they are fairly basic. They offer large horse dimensions with a functional design. This one is fitted with weave bars and had a new cam belt kit fitted last year. It will be sold with a new MOT, service and long tax.

Renault Master MK1 with genuine low mileage circa 55,000 (originally an airport van) built by South West London Horseboxes in 2003 it is an Equine Travel Master. This is a really genuine older horsebox with a clean chassis, power steering and has just passed a new MOT test with no advisories. Nicely appointed internally but paintwork now rather tired. The horse area is well padded and has 7'6" headroom, the groom's area has seating, sink, hob,wardrobe and tack locker.

It also has an external locker with horse wash pump and water tank. Priced at £6,450 it offers very good value for money.

Powerful 2.8 diesel engine genuine low mileage vehicle (circa 69k) .

Stylish little box in good condition.This box has quite an unusual design having a padded removable breast bar which the horses' heads go over and then a three quarter height partition to the groom's area which is smaller then normal, offering a small seat and wardrobe locker. There is an external tack locker to the side. The cab is clean with nicely upholstered seats and a camera to view horses and reverse.The horse area has three windows and two internal lights. The central partition is adjustable and there is additional storage in the luton.

The headroom is suitable for a large horse (7'6") but the horse standing is for a 6'9" rug size max.
